Top American Universities take great pride in displaying their Low Acceptance Rates, with Harvard University having a rate of 5.8% and costing anywhere between $ 80,000 a year. The point of mentioning this is that these poison Ivies.. have given more priority to "Numbers" than Reaching.. out with their Great Knowledge.. !!

When I had visited my little Cousin Karna at Drexel, btw he is now on his way to becoming an Onco-radiologist, I realized one thing, his school was Hyper Connected, by that I mean, all students have Laptops, they have Desktops, Smartphones, Nintendo, and what not. Seeing him surrounded by Electronic Gadgets made me question, will this make his "Attention Span" shorter, as he is constantly "Context Switching" and "super - multi - Tasking". Though after awhile I realized, that he grew up in this "Hyper Connected Electronic Ecosystem" and also because he was the ULTIMATE DRAGON at "Call for Duty". This made me see some linkages between Electronic Stimulation, and their relationship to Behavioral Patterns. But indeed the much more valuable lesson was he had resources to become so smart, AGILE and amazingly super - fast, can't say much about his Concentration Level though.
On the other hand at my Medical Colleges, the "Number" of Students having Laptops, would be 3 - 5% range, which again brought into question, how fast the students in Developing Nations are getting behind, and how fast the Information Knowledge divide, was increasing. As my brilliant American Cousin was developing Applications for his Medical Student Peers, and where as Indian Medical Students were still following a Teaching Methodology and Curriculum that has been outdated for last 30 Years. Guess what, this information is openly published in Indian Journal of Community Medicine. Yet little is done my the Regulatory body Medical Council of India.
Which is Busy doing "ACCREDITATION SHOWBIZ". By this I mean, the role of MCI as per the Government Act, is to Just PRETEND the Resources are there, especially the "Human Resources". Let me explain HOW??, basically at my College we have been Chronic Under-staffing as State Government wants to save Bills, at the same time Crush the Governmental Institutional Framework to help Private Institutions Constructed by Politician Black Money ( earned through immoral WORLD BANK dealings ) become worthier, of course not to mention Attrition of staff to Private colleges, by lucrative Black Money Salary. This all is turned a BLIND EYE.. towards.. how can a Medical Student at my college ever do as well as my Little Cousin at Drexel.. Questions remain unanswered...!!!

So Moral of the Story.. my UNIVERSITY back in INDIA, despite publishing its Perspective Plans, of becoming Information Technology friendly and progressing towards Information Age, will fail again, to achieve the vision, as it did in its last Perspective Plan, if the students dont understand "ACCREDITION SHOWBIZ" very well, and IMMORAL administrators of our University, who are not able to work with Integrity and in sync with the Vision.
